On Wednesday, 27/07/2016, the competition for the title of “Cuckoo Clock of the Year 2016” was officially opened at the Car and Clock Museum in Schramberg.
Helmut Banholzer, chairman of the association Technikmuseen Schramberg, as well as Jürgen Clute from the Association of the Black Forest Clock (VdS) welcomed the present guests and formally gave the starting signal for this clock election.

Once a year, Black Forest cuckoo clock manufacturers compete against each other in the Cuckoo Clock of the Year competition. Each manufacturer presents one or two cuckoo clocks from their current production.

Then it’s up to the audience. The visitors of the Car and Clock Museum can visit the museum until 08/ 01. 2017, vote for their favorite cuckoo clock and then choose it as the 2016 Cuckoo Clock of the Year.
